Fault Cause:
SPN (Suspicious Parameter Number) : FMI is used in conjunction with SPN to provide specific information related to the Fault Diagnosis Code (DTC). The FMI may indicate faults in circuits or electrical components that have been detected before. FMI may also indicate the abnormal operation conditions that have been detected before. This code is displayed in the form of "SPN-FMI". The ECM/ECU also attaches the textual description to the information transmitted through the J1939 data link. This text description is used to describe SPN-FMI. Determine the failure mode of the DTC by evaluating the electrical signals of the suspicious circuit. Failure mode identifiers can be divided into two types: A code indicating a detected fault in a circuit or electrical component 587.
