Repeat purchases twice a year! Fairtrademachinery provides full-process services to Pakistani clients for their used excavator procurement.

At 4 p.m. on June 15, four used Doosan 150 wheeled excavators were loaded in Mancheng, Baoding, for shipment to Tianjin Port. The machinery will arrive at Karachi Port in 25 days to be deployed for the road expansion project between Lahore and Multan, Pakistan, as well as two real estate developments on the outskirts of Islamabad. Standing in the yard, the buyer Mr. Ashad filmed the entire loading process on his mobile phone and sent the footage to his construction foreman based in Islamabad.
On the evening of June 10, Mr. Ashad and his two companions flew to Baoding, Hebei Province. This marks their second trip to China within two years to purchase used construction machinery. Their budget for this procurement was strictly capped at US$150,000, with clear purchasing targets: four used Doosan 150 wheeled excavators. Mandatory requirements included no major overhaul records for core components and operating hours under 8,000.
Three Days of Site Inspections, Finalized the Deal in Mancheng, Baoding
Over the following three days, they visited yards belonging to seven suppliers across three major used excavator hubs in Hebei: Mancheng, Xushui and Yuanshi, inspecting a total of 23 units of the same model. The mechanical technician accompanying them ran full tests and recorded critical performance data for every machine they checked, including engine idle speed, hydraulic pump working pressure, slewing clearance and travel motor oil leakage. On the afternoon of June 12, they finally found their ideal machines at Boss Ma’s yard in Mancheng.
Boss Ma had five used Doosan 150 wheeled excavators in stock, four of which fully met their criteria. Their operating hours stood at 6,200, 6,800, 7,100 and 7,600 respectively. All machines retained original unopened engines with no abnormal leaks in the hydraulic systems. The technician conducted cold start tests one by one, logged all sets of data, then nodded in approval to Mr. Ashad.

Not Their First Cooperation
Mr. Ashad first partnered with the fairtrademachinery platform back in October 2025. Through the platform, he purchased two used wheeled excavators for a municipal drainage project in Islamabad. Machinery from both shipments was put into operation smoothly upon arrival at the port. The first batch has accumulated over 1,000 operating hours to date, with only routine wear parts replaced.
“Our previous cooperation went very smoothly. The machine condition and platform services both lived up to our expectations. That’s why we reached out directly to the foreign trade coordinator of fairtrademachinery as soon as we confirmed our new project,” said Mr. Ashad. “We don’t need to source new suppliers from scratch, which saves a great deal of preliminary communication costs.”
After receiving his demand, the platform screened 12 export-experienced suppliers from its Hebei regional database based on Mr. Ashad’s budget range and preferred model, and finally recommended the equipment owned by Boss Ma in Mancheng. Boss Ma has a track record of exporting multiple batches of used excavators to Central Asia in 2025, boasting mature expertise in export packaging and customs clearance documentation.

Intermediary Price Negotiation: Aligning Both Parties’ Price Expectations
Once the machines were selected, price negotiation became the crucial step. Drawing on his two previous procurement experiences and the local import market conditions for used machinery in Pakistan, Mr. Ashad proposed capping the unit price at around US$35,000.
The foreign trade consultant from Fairtrademachinery completed two key tasks. First, they retrieved actual transaction records of used Doosan 150 wheeled excavators across North China from April to May 2026 stored in the platform backend. For four-unit bulk deals with machines of identical condition (6,000–8,000 operating hours with original engines), the average unit transaction price stood at approximately US$36,000. Second, the consultant helped Mr. Ashad calculate ocean freight costs: the shipping fee for a 40ft open-top container from Tianjin Port to Karachi Port was about US$1,000 per unit, totaling US$4,000 for four machines. Customs duties and local clearance fees amounted to roughly US$12,000, all of which needed to be factored into the overall budget.
Following two rounds of face-to-face talks, Boss Ma agreed to adjust the unit price to US$35,000, bringing the total for four excavators to US$140,000. He also threw in four sets of genuine Doosan oil seal repair kits as a complimentary gift, each valued at around US$180. After tallying all figures on site, Mr. Ashad determined that the landed cost per unit—including shipping and duties—was lower than quotations he had received for equivalent imported machinery locally in Pakistan. He signed the agreement on the spot to confirm the deal.

The Foreign Trade of Used Excavators Behind the Data
Internal statistics from the fairtrademachinery platform show that between January and May 2026, the platform closed a total of 47 export orders for used construction machinery, among which 36 orders were for used excavators. The primary destination countries are Pakistan, Nigeria, Kazakhstan and the Philippines.
In the Pakistani market, inquiries for used Doosan 150 wheeled excavators rose by approximately 22% year-on-year compared with 2025. Thanks to its flexible maneuverability and easy access to maintenance spare parts across South Asia, this model has become a mainstream machine for local road construction and real estate projects.
The four units purchased by Mr. Ashad on this trip were priced at US$35,000 each, with a total transaction value of US$140,000. The equipment is scheduled to arrive at Tianjin Port for container loading on June 25, loaded onto the vessel around July 10, and reach Karachi in late July. Upon arrival, the machines will be transported directly to the construction site of the Lahore-Multan Expressway, a project spanning roughly 180 kilometers in total length. About 60% of subgrade construction has been completed so far, and these used excavators will be deployed for slope trimming and drainage ditch excavation work.
Before departing, Mr. Ashad spoke to fairtrademachinery staff at Baoding High-Speed Railway Station: “My next procurement will likely take place in November this year. I will need 6 to 8 used excavators with larger tonnage for earthmoving work at a newly launched commercial complex project in Islamabad, and I will reach out to you again then.” This conversation was logged in the platform’s customer follow-up system, labeling Mr. Ashad as a “high-intent repeat customer”.
Fairtrademachinery operates under the 51 Machinery App. It specializes in used excavator trading, cross-border export of excavators and other construction machinery. Users can post listings for selling or sourcing used excavators on the platform. Catering mainly to machinery business owners and used excavator dealers, the platform helps dealers quickly complete excavator transactions while building a unified alliance for used excavator pricing and trading.
